The Vision, The Founder & Partners

 Who is SistaLadiFriend?

SistaLadiFriend was founded for publishing works of written art by a young veteran looking to find her niche after serving the military. Within a few years, all the artistic skills that she kept bottled up found an outlet through writing. The satisfaction of creating stories and expressing her thoughts, that other people enjoyed and looked forward, took her passion to another level. Along the way, she met others who, like her, had this passion for writing but didn’t know how to get the content out to the masses. This led to the idea of becoming a small business owner that would build a way to help others who struggled with what she went through.

Founded in 2008, three friends decided to beautify their souls and release their God-given talents under one umbrella. Writing was their common ground, however, through writing they could together form a company that would not only entertain but influence their audience. Thus, the SistaLadiFriend title has derived from the actual pillars of the company.

The women associated with the company bare many titles within their family and even to the community. They are artists, employees, sisters, wives, mothers, committed women of faith, friends to both many and few, and they are mentors. The founder, Noella Fe, had one goal in mind; to break stereotypes while forming this company. This included one that labeled women of color unable to work together and unite themselves.

At the time the seed was planted for SistaLadiFriend, the African American woman was still considered the most misunderstood person amongst society. This includes stereotypes such as not seeing African American women who loved books and even not seeing much public praise, as we see now, of African American women who support & love African American men. There were talks of a dramatic decline in the interactions with African American children in the communities, which was evident in becoming the victims of bullying. Lastly, social media replaced what communication was left in many households, the workplace, and amongst friends and family. No one had real conversations anymore and the women within SistaLadiFriend were going to bring together their talents to start empowering African American women.

With intentions of being more than just a Publishing company, SistaLadiFriend LLC intends to bring confidence back amongst African American communities as well as educate and stimulate the youth within. These small steps have become a path to offer a platform for all things positive which enhance the company and the community's goal of a healthy, wealthy lifestyle.
